【本报讯】2026年4月23日,由Mesa Chamber of Commerce主办的“2026 State of the City”市长早餐会在美莎(Mesa)隆重举行。

Tan Hua Inc.(谭华参茸行)积极参与此次盛会,并携多位华商代表出席,包括Zhitao Tan (Tan Hua Inc.)、Stephen Fong(Warner Angle Jackson Hallam Formanek)、Zongfu Li(Dr. Win Really)、Changhai Huang(Shaanxi Garden)及Grace Lockett(World Outstanding Women League),展现华人企业融入主流社会、参与公共事务的积极态度。

美莎市市长Mark Freeman(费曼)在会上发表2026年度《城市状况报告》(State of the City),围绕“Built on Tradition、 Built for Opportunity、 Built Together、 Built to Last” 四大核心理念,全面阐述城市在传统基础、发展机遇、协作共建及长远规划方面的愿景与成果。

Tan Hua Inc. Attends Mesa Mayor’s Breakfast, Engages with Local Community

On April 23, 2026, the “2026 State of the City” Mayor’s Breakfast, hosted by the Mesa Chamber of Commerce, was held in Mesa. The event took place from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and brought together nearly 1,000 chamber members, business leaders, and community representatives to hear updates on the city’s development and future plans.

Tan Hua Inc. actively participated in the event and attended with a group of Chinese business representatives, including Zhitao Tan (Tan Hua Inc.), Stephen Fong (Warner Angle Jackson Hallam Formanek), Zongfu Li (Dr. Win Really), Changhai Huang (Shaanxi Garden), and Grace Lockett (World Outstanding Women League). Their participation highlighted the Chinese business community’s positive engagement in mainstream society and local public affairs.

Mesa Mayor Mark Freeman delivered the 2026 State of the City address, outlining a clear vision centered on four key principles: “Built on Tradition,” “Built for Opportunity,” “Built Together,” and “Built to Last.” He highlighted the city’s progress and long term strategy across economic growth, community development, and sustainable planning.

Mayor Freeman emphasized that Mesa continues to show strong and stable growth, with efficient financial management, thoughtful urban planning, and high quality public services. “The state of our city is strong, and we’re not standing still,” he said. “We’ve built a foundation based on trust, accountability, and responsible growth, and we’re using that foundation to create real opportunities for our residents and businesses.”

Key highlights from the report included improved public safety, with violent crime down by 14%; over $1 billion in new investment and more than 1,500 new jobs created in the past year; continued growth driven by industries around Mesa Gateway Airport; and the transformation of the former Fiesta Mall site into the Palo District, bringing new energy and development to West Mesa. The city is also strengthening workforce development through partnerships with institutions such as Arizona State University Polytechnic and Mesa Community College, while making strategic investments in water and energy sustainability to address long-term challenges in the Southwest.

Fanny, the owner of Tan Hua Inc., said events like this provide valuable opportunities for businesses to better understand city policies and future directions, while also creating a platform for communication and collaboration across different communities. She has long been active in community service and chamber events, working to encourage Chinese owned businesses to step beyond their own circles and become more involved in the broader community.

She also encouraged more Chinese entrepreneurs to take part in local chambers and public initiatives. “By getting involved, we can truly integrate into the community, find greater opportunities for growth, and help others better understand the value and contributions of Chinese businesses,” she said.

Tan Hua Inc. has consistently supported activities organized by the Mesa Chamber of Commerce. This time, by bringing together a group of Chinese business owners, the company helped strengthen connections between the Chinese business community and the broader local community, further enhancing their role and influence in the region’s economic development.
