TanHua Inc. Attends the 24th East Valley Breakfast with the Governor, Bringing Together Hundreds of Business and Civic Leaders
TanHua Ginseng & Herbal / Tea Culture Inc. (TanHua Inc.) was honored to attend the 24th East Valley Breakfast with the Governor on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, in Mesa, Arizona. This marks the fourth consecutive year the company has participated in this influential annual event, highlighting the continued presence and growing influence of Chinese-owned businesses within Arizona’s mainstream business and public affairs community.

The event was jointly hosted by the East Valley Chambers of Commerce Alliance (EVCCA) and PHX East Valley Partnership, and took place from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Delta Hotel by Marriott Phoenix Mesa. Nearly 1,000 leaders from government, business, and the community were in attendance. Notably, only one table was designated for Chinese representatives, and TanHua Inc. was invited to attend as the sole Chinese business representative, underscoring the significance of its participation.

The highlight of the morning was Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs’ State of the State address, during which she outlined her vision for Arizona’s development in 2026 and beyond. Her remarks focused on key priorities including housing, economic development, public safety, education, and legislative goals, while emphasizing the importance of cross-regional and cross-sector collaboration.

Governor Hobbs noted that over the past year, Arizona has created tens of thousands of new jobs, increased take home income for residents, and helped nearly 500,000 Arizonans eliminate significant medical debt. She also highlighted efforts to reduce the cost of childcare, prescription drugs, and housing in order to ease financial pressure on families. At the same time, she reaffirmed the state’s commitment to water conservation, housing development, and public safety investments, including support for police officers, firefighters, and first responders, as well as strengthened action against drug trafficking and cross border crime.
In terms of economic growth, the governor emphasized Arizona’s success in attracting high-tech industries and international investment, including artificial intelligence companies, advanced manufacturing, and major foreign funded projects. She also reflected on her official visit to Taiwan last year, reaffirming the strong partnership between Arizona and Taiwan in trade and industrial cooperation, and expressing her expectation for deeper collaboration in the future.

Throughout her speech, the governor outlined several policy initiatives she has been promoting recently, including supporting the tourism economy, easing household utility costs, protecting water resources, and promoting economic development. She noted that while the state is focused on economic growth, it also prioritizes housing, water management, and public safety, including support for police, firefighters, and emergency responders, as well as efforts to combat drugs and cross border crime. Hobbs repeatedly called for bipartisan cooperation, emphasizing that affordability is one of the top concerns for families. She advocated for tax cuts for the middle class, more efficient government spending, expanding affordable housing, and long term solutions in infrastructure, public education, and water management.

The EVCCA represents chambers of commerce from cities including Apache Junction, Carefree Cave Creek, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Queen Creek, Scottsdale, and Tempe, making it one of the most influential business alliances in the East Valley. The annual Governor’s Breakfast, now in its 24th year, serves as a key platform connecting government decision-makers with regional business leaders.

Fanny, owner of TanHua Inc., stated that she was deeply honored to participate in such a high-level event as the only Chinese business representative. She added that the company will continue to closely follow Arizona’s public policy and economic developments, actively engage in community building, promote multicultural business exchange, and contribute to the long-term prosperity of the East Valley region.
