Distinguished guests from government, business, and the community were in attendance, including U.S. Congressman Greg Stanton (Arizona’s 4th District), Mesa Chamber of Commerce President Sally Harrison, City Office representative Yvette Armendariz, and CRAA (Chinese Restaurant Association of Arizona) President Garry Ong. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on site, marking the milestone in a simple yet meaningful way.

Fanny, owner of TAN HUA INC, shared that the business originated in China and has over 50 years of family history. The San Francisco and Arizona locations have been operating for nearly a decade, with the 10th anniversary coming up on September 22 this year. She expressed her hope to continue giving back to the community and helping more people learn about Chinese culture and wellness practices.
She also mentioned that the tea gatherings have been held more than 22 times so far, with over 700 participants in total. The events have received strong support from the community. Fanny said she truly enjoys sharing wellness knowledge and hopes more people will start paying attention to their health and building healthier habits.

Congressman Greg Stanton thanked Fanny for her long-term contributions to the community, noting that her efforts have helped support local economic growth and made the community more vibrant. He also encouraged more people to visit Mesa and take part in local activities.
Sally Harrison, President of the Mesa Chamber of Commerce, said that since joining the Chamber, Fanny has been very active and has made consistent contributions to both the business community and local engagement, making her a valued member.
Garry Ong, President of CRAA, also shared that Fanny is very active in the community and often takes the lead in organizing events. He emphasized the idea that “prevention is better than treatment” and encouraged people to pay more attention to their health through tea and traditional dietary practices.
The event featured a variety of cultural performances, including a guzheng performance by musician Ludi, Sichuan opera face changing presented by the HaiDiLao team, and a lively lion dance. The festive atmosphere added a strong cultural touch to the celebration. The 22nd tea gathering was also held during the event, offering traditional snacks, nourishing soups, and small gifts for guests.

Many attendees shared their personal experiences, saying they saw improvements in their health after following recommendations from TAN HUA INC. One guest, who had been seriously ill and undergoing treatment, said their condition showed improvement after incorporating recommended herbal tea into their routine. Another guest who had shingles shared that their condition gradually improved after drinking wellness tea. A male guest mentioned feeling better after regularly drinking goji berry tea, and another customer said they first learned about the benefits of Chinese tea through RedNote before coming in to try the shop’s popular floral teas.

The event concluded with Fanny demonstrating traditional kung fu tea, bringing the day to a relaxed and elegant close.
This first anniversary celebration was not just a milestone for TAN HUA INC, but also felt like a gathering of friends. With continued community support, the business hopes to keep moving forward steadily sharing wellness knowledge and passing on cultural traditions to more people.
