Dragon Sam, one of the International Film Ambassadors, will also be joining the celebration.

国际电影大使之一的 Dragon Sam 也将出席活动。

One of the highlights of the evening is the film “Swallowtail & Dragonfly,” based on the true love story of legendary Shanghai painter Zhou Lianxia. Born in 1908 and known by her courtesy name Ziyi, Zhou became famous in 1930s Shanghai for her beauty, elegance, and remarkable talent in both painting and poetry. People admired her so much that she was called “The Distinguished Lady of the Golden Boudoir.” The film follows her life through war and revolution and shows how she eventually returned to her artistic brilliance. The “Swallowtail” in the title represents a love that sacrifices everything, because the swallowtail butterfly has only one lifelong mate.

当晚的焦点影片之一是 《凤蝶与蜻蜓》（Swallowtail & Dragonfly），取材自民国时期上海传奇女画家 周炼霞 的真实爱情故事。

周炼霞出生于 1908 年，字“紫宜”，在 1930 年代的上海以其美貌、气质与艺术才华闻名，无论绘画或诗词都成就非凡，被誉为 “金闺国士”。

影片讲述她历经战乱与时代变革后，如何再度绽放艺术人生的故事。片名中的“凤蝶”象征至死不渝的爱情，因为凤蝶一生只会选择一个伴侣。

The Chandler International Film Festival (CIFF) is celebrating its 10th anniversary with more venues and more to enjoy than ever before. From January 23 to February 1, the 10 day festival will feature screenings at four theaters and events across more than a dozen locations. Each day will spotlight a different culture, including Latin Day, Asian Day, Indian Day, and more.

钱德勒国际电影节（CIFF）迎来第十周年，规模与活动内容全面升级。电影节将于 1 月 23 日至 2 月 1 日 举行，为期 10 天，在四家电影院展映，并在超过十个地点举办多项活动。

电影节每天都会呈现不同文化主题，包括拉丁日、亚洲日、印度日等。

CIFF will showcase films from around the world from romance and historical stories to horror and more. The full lineup will be announced soon.

“We’re excited to bring even more experiences to filmmakers and audiences by expanding to new locations,” said Mitesh Patel, CIFF President and Founder. “With more theaters involved, we can welcome more people and more films into the festival.”
