本报讯(记者 黄景瑜 )2026年2月21日,Phoenix Chinese Week(中国周)在凤凰城知名中餐厅六福酒家隆重举办第36届农历新年庆祝晚宴,近250位嘉宾欢聚一堂,共迎马年新春。选区运营经理Andrew Simek(安德鲁·西梅克),凤凰城警察局局长Matt Giordano(马特·吉奥达诺)等嘉宾出席活动。现场喜气洋洋、气氛热烈,展现了大凤凰城华人社区团结奋进、薪火相传的精神风貌。

当晚宴会厅张灯结彩,洋溢着浓厚的新春氛围。中国周主席朱绮华(Eva Li)在致辞中回顾了中国周多年来在推广中华文化、促进多元族群交流方面所作出的努力与成果。作为亚利桑那州具有代表性的华人文化品牌活动之一,中国周不仅承载着节庆意义,更成为连接社区、增进理解的重要平台。晚宴节目精彩纷呈,涵盖舞龙舞狮、中国功夫表演以及四川变脸等传统艺术形式,既保留了中华文化的经典元素,也融入时代气息。演员们的精彩表现赢得阵阵掌声,让与会嘉宾在欢庆新春的同时,感受到中华文化的深厚底蕴与独特魅力。





当晚的重要环节之一是年度奖学金颁发仪式。主办方向多名成绩优异、积极参与社区服务的学生颁发奖学金,鼓励青年一代在追求学业进步的同时勇担社会责任。本次奖学金获得者包括:Charlotte Chen(Arizona College Prep High School)、Kevin Chen(Hamilton High School)、Hannah Lou(Hamilton High School)以及 Elizabeth Young(Sandra Day O’Connor High School)。此外,大会还举行社区贡献表彰活动,对长期支持中国周发展、积极参与公益与文化推广的个人及团体予以肯定。



主办方指出,正是无数志愿者与热心人士的无私奉献,使中国周活动得以持续壮大并焕发新的活力。在温馨祥和的氛围中,第36届农历新年庆祝晚宴圆满落幕。与会嘉宾纷纷表示,这不仅是一场节庆盛宴,更是一场凝聚社区力量、传承文化精神的重要聚会。展望未来,凤凰城中国周将继续弘扬中华文化,深化社区合作,为亚利桑那州多元文化社会的发展贡献更多力量。

Phoenix Chinese Week Celebrates 36th Lunar New Year Banquet

On February 21, 2026, Phoenix Chinese Week hosted its 36th Lunar New Year celebration banquet at the renowned Great Wall Cuisine Restaurant in Phoenix. Nearly 250 guests gathered to welcome the Year of the Horse in a festive and joyful atmosphere.



Guests attending the event included representative Andrew Simek, and Phoenix Police Chief Matt Giordano. The banquet hall was beautifully decorated with traditional New Year ornaments, creating a strong festive mood. Chinese Week Chair Eva Li reflected on the organization’s long term efforts to promote Chinese culture and strengthen multicultural exchanges within the community. As one of Arizona’s representative Chinese cultural events, Phoenix Chinese Week not only celebrates the Lunar New Year but also serves as an important platform for community connection and mutual understanding.




The evening featured a variety of performances, including dragon and lion dances, Chinese martial arts, and Sichuan face changing art. These traditional performances preserved classic elements of Chinese culture while adding a modern touch. The artists’ performances received enthusiastic applause, allowing guests to celebrate the New Year while experiencing the depth and unique charm of Chinese culture.




One of the highlights of the evening was the scholarship presentation ceremony. The organizers awarded scholarships to several outstanding students who demonstrated strong academic performance and active community service. The scholarship recipients included Charlotte Chen (Arizona College Prep High School), Kevin Chen (Hamilton High School), Hannah Lou (Hamilton High School), and Elizabeth Young (Sandra Day O’Connor High School).

In addition, the banquet also recognized individuals and organizations that have made long term contributions to community service and cultural promotion. The organizers emphasized that the continued growth of Phoenix Chinese Week is made possible by the dedication of countless volunteers and supporters.
