5月12日，Chandler 市長候選人 Matt Orlando 支持募款見面會於 Dragon Wok Fine Chinese Restaurant 舉行，吸引眾多華人社區領袖、商界人士及支持者熱情參與，現場交流氣氛熱烈。
Dragon Wok Fine Chinese Restaurant 店主兼 Chandler Chamber of Commerce（錢德勒商會）外展主任 Sam Szeto （Dragon Sam）表示，很高興能邀請華人社區領袖及商界人士與 Matt Orlando 交流，增進彼此了解與友誼。他認為 Matt Orlando 關心商業發展及亞裔社區，是值得支持的 Chandler 市長候選人，也感謝華人社區朋友的熱情參與、支持與捐款。他呼籲大家於7月投票支持 Matt Orlando 競選 Chandler 市長，並表示：「Matt Orlando 熱愛 Chandler，也非常支持華人社區。我們一起努力，就能帶來改變。」
本次活動由華人社區人士 Garry Ong 與 Helen Zhang 張華芳 主持，讓與會者能近距離與 Matt Orlando 交流，討論 Chandler 未來城市發展、商業環境及亞裔社區關注議題。多位出席者表示，希望未來市府能持續支持本地企業、重視亞裔社區聲音，並促進多元文化交流。
Matt Orlando 在活動中感謝華人社區及商界朋友的支持，並表示 Chandler 的發展離不開各族裔社區的共同努力。他也讚揚華人社區多年來對本地經濟及社區建設所作出的貢獻，希望未來能進一步加強與亞裔社區合作，共同打造更繁榮、安全及友善的城市。
不少與會人士表示，活動氣氛輕鬆愉快，不但增進社區交流，也建立了更好的理解與友誼，展現華人社區對 Chandler 市政發展的關心與參與。

Matt Orlando 是一位退伍軍人及前小企業主，現任 Chandler 市議員並參選市長。他表示自己多年來持續服務社區，推動多項政策改善居民生活與城市治理，包括加強治安、消防與醫療服務、設立法證實驗室，以及改善社區清潔與規範執法。
他提出的「Chandler Delivers」政綱主要分為三大方向：
1. 社區安全（Community Safety）強化警消人力與反應速度，推動更快破案能力（設立法證實驗室），提升救護車服務效率與收入模式，同時加強心理健康、成癮與家庭暴力等社會問題的支援與跨機構合作。
2. 經濟成長（Economic Growth）吸引國際科技與半導體投資（包括德國、台灣、日本等企業），推動小企業發展、ASU創新合作、商會合作與勞動力培訓，並簡化建築與審批流程以促進經濟發展。
3. 生活品質提升（Quality of Life）加強藝術與娛樂設施、改善市中心與公園環境、推動環保與節能措施（如太陽能與LED路燈）、保障長期水資源安全、發展可負擔住房（包括青年、長者
與中低收入家庭），並持續推動城市永續發展。
此外，他強調 Chandler 應保持非黨派、務實治理傳統，並以財政穩健為基礎推動城市發展。
Chinese Community and Business Leaders Gather at Dragon Wok to Support Matt Orlando
On May 12, a fundraising meet and greet in support of Chandler mayoral candidate Matt Orlando was held at Dragon Wok Fine Chinese Restaurant, attracting many Chinese community leaders, business owners, and supporters. The atmosphere was warm, lively, and full of great conversations.
Sam Szeto, owner of Dragon Wok Fine Chinese Restaurant and Director of Outreach for the Chandler Chamber of Commerce, said he was very happy to bring together Chinese community leaders, local business people, and Matt Orlando to build stronger friendships and better understanding. He believes Matt Orlando cares about business development and the Asian community and is a strong candidate for Chandler mayor. Sam also thanked everyone for their enthusiastic support and donations. He encouraged people to vote for Matt Orlando in July, saying, “Matt Orlando loves Chandler and strongly supports the Chinese community. Together, we can make a difference.”
The event was hosted by community members Garry Ong and Helen Zhang, giving guests an opportunity to speak directly with Matt Orlando about Chandler’s future development, the local business environment, and issues important to the Asian community. Many attendees said they hope the city will continue supporting local businesses, value the voices of the Asian community, and promote cultural diversity.
During the event, Matt Orlando thanked the Chinese community and local business leaders for their support. He said Chandler’s growth depends on the efforts and contributions of all communities. He also praised the Chinese community for its long standing contributions to the local economy and community development, and expressed hope to continue strengthening cooperation with the Asian community to help build a safer, friendlier, and more prosperous Chandler.
Many guests said the event was enjoyable and meaningful, helping strengthen community connections, friendships, and mutual understanding, while showing the Chinese community’s strong interest and involvement in Chandler’s future.

Matt Orlando is a veteran and former small business owner. He is currently a Chandler City Council member and is running for mayor. He says he has spent many years serving the community and working on policies that improve residents’ lives and city management, including public safety, fire and medical services, setting up a forensic lab, and improving neighborhood cleanliness and code enforcement.
His “Chandler Delivers” plan is focused on three main areas:
1. Community Safety
He wants to strengthen police and fire staffing and response times, improve crime solving speed by creating a forensic lab, and make ambulance services more efficient and financially sustainable. He also supports better coordination on issues like mental health, addiction, and domestic violence.
2. Economic Growth
He aims to attract international tech and semiconductor investment, including companies from Germany, Taiwan, and Japan. He also supports small businesses, ASU innovation partnerships, Chamber of Commerce cooperation, workforce training programs, and faster permitting processes to boost economic development.
3. Quality of Life
He wants to improve arts and entertainment, upgrade downtown and parks, support environmental efforts like solar energy and LED streetlights, protect long term water supplies, and expand affordable housing for seniors, families, and low income residents. He also supports sustainable city development.
He emphasizes that Chandler should remain non partisan and focus on practical, results driven governance.
