Rep. Greg Stanton Visits Tan Hua Inc. for Asian Community Meet & Greet in Mesa

U.S. Congressman Greg Stanton held a “Friends in Asian Community” Meet & Greet on June 13, 2026, in Mesa, Arizona, where he met face to face with local Asian American residents. He shared his key priorities in Congress, his public service philosophy, and his vision for the future. The event took place at Tan Hua Inc., a well known Chinese owned business in Mesa, and drew nearly 70 community leaders, business representatives, and residents, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere.

The venue was carefully arranged by Fanny, the owner of Tan Hua Inc., who also performed a Tai Chi demonstration. During the event, host Jeff guided the program throughout the afternoon. Renowned guzheng performer Ludi delivered a beautiful live performance, welcoming guests with elegant and soothing music, while Jane also performed a song that received warm applause from the audience.

To thank the community for their long standing support, Fanny prepared nourishing traditional herbal soup and also offered a variety of Chinese dim sum, desserts, and floral teas. In addition, Haidilao provided small gift packages for attendees. These thoughtful arrangements allowed guests to enjoy a warm and welcoming community gathering while discussing public issues.

At the beginning of the event, Congressman Stanton praised Fanny, the owner of Tan Hua Inc., for her long term involvement in community work and recognized her as a successful immigrant entrepreneur and a positive role model for the Asian American community. He said that such community contributions are an important foundation for Arizona’s continued growth.

Stanton, who is currently running for a fifth term in Congress, spoke about the challenges of public service but said he remains committed because “there is nothing more meaningful than improving people’s lives.” He emphasized the importance of bipartisan cooperation in today’s increasingly divided political climate, saying that real progress can only be achieved by working together to find solutions.

He also highlighted his key policy priorities, including healthcare, transportation, advanced industries, and water resources. In addition to serving on the Transportation Committee, he also sits on the Foreign Affairs Committee. He expressed his hope that Arizona will continue to grow in economic strength, education, and global competitiveness through strong policy leadership.

Speaking about Arizona’s future, Stanton said he is proud of the state’s progress in education and economic development in recent years. He noted that Arizona’s diverse population, including Latino, Native American, African American, and Asian communities, plays a vital role in the state’s continued growth. He also expressed gratitude to the Asian community for its long standing support and said he is honored to continue representing them.

During the community discussion, Helen Zhang stated that she would continue supporting Greg Stanton because he consistently puts people above politics and focuses on real community needs.

A guest also shared hopes that Arizona will become a national leader in the semiconductor industry. Stanton responded that immigrants play an important role in driving economic growth and will also be key to the continued expansion of the semiconductor sector. He added that inclusive immigration policies help attract top talent to Arizona.

Community member Gary Ong shared that he has known Greg Stanton for more than 20 years and has consistently seen his strong support for the Asian community. He also mentioned the Kelly Yu case, noting that Stanton was one of the few members of Congress who publicly supported her at the time.

The event also featured a cultural highlight, as artist Fan Rong presented an artwork titled “Lead the Way” to Congressman Stanton, expressing appreciation for his service to the community and his support for the Asian American population.

Throughout the event, many attendees expressed their appreciation for Stanton’s continued public service and his focus on practicality and cooperation. Some supporters also actively participated in campaign fundraising efforts to show their support for his re-election.

Overall, the event was lively and engaging, with strong interaction between the congressman and community members. The Meet & Greet further strengthened communication between the Asian community in Arizona and their elected representative.
