A Message from the Principal
Hello everyone! My name is Hedy Liao, and I am the Principal of Green Apple Art Academy’s North Campus. I have over 15 years of management experience, including leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies and organizations. In addition, I have taught Chinese at a U.S. language school for more than three and a half years, which gave me deep insight into the similarities and differences between American and Chinese education.

Principal of Green Apple Art Academy North Campus – Hedy Liao
This cross-cultural background allows me to combine the strengths of both systems: focusing on strong academic skills while also encouraging creativity, self-expression, and confidence. As a mother myself, I know that a child’s growth depends not only on teachers and schools but also on the guidance and foresight of parents. Education is a partnership, and when parents help their children explore interests and choose the right developmental path, it sets the foundation for long-term success.
At our North Campus, we will continue the strong reputation built at the Chandler campus, offering high-quality Chinese, art, and academic programs to local families. Here, I hope children will not only gain knowledge and language skills but also grow in confidence and joy, supported by both school and family.

Ms. Kitty — Art Instructor
Ms. Kitty holds a Master’s degree in Plant Pathology and has lived in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Australia. Her diverse background brings a multicultural perspective and a deep sensitivity to nature into her art. She mainly works with oil and acrylic painting, specializing in fluid art, and often incorporates everyday objects, paper cutting, and mixed media into her pieces, creating a unique artistic style.
In her classes, she focuses on sparking children’s imagination and creativity, helping them use painting as a way to express themselves and discover the beauty of life.
Acrylic and oil painting are some of the best mediums to showcase color and texture. This course guides students step by step, from color mixing and brush techniques to composition and lighting, so they can freely express themselves on canvas while also developing patience and focus. Creative materials are also introduced, turning each class into an exploration and experiment. Students not only build strong foundational skills but also discover their own artistic voice and joy in creating.
