As Arizona enters the extreme summer heat season, the City of Mesa’s 20th Annual Hydration Donation Campaign is underway, calling on the community to support residents in need through access to bottled water.

Fanny, owner of Tan Hua Inc (谭华参茸行), will attend the community charity event on June 25, 2026, and take part in the Hydration Donation Campaign supporting access to drinking water for vulnerable residents.

She warmly invites residents and customers to participate by donating bottled water or contributing online, helping those who face extreme heat conditions during the summer months.

The campaign is jointly organized by the City of Mesa, United Food Bank, the Mesa Chamber of Commerce, and various community organizations. All donated bottled water and monetary contributions are collected by United Food Bank and distributed to nonprofit organizations throughout Mesa and the East Valley, including A New Leaf, Paz de Cristo, and Mesa United Way, to support heat-relief services for vulnerable residents.

Through partnerships with the City of Mesa, the Mesa Chamber of Commerce, and local nonprofit organizations, the donated bottled water helps ensure that those most affected by Arizona’s extreme summer heat have access to safe drinking water. The initiative may also provide bottled water support to first responders from the Mesa Police Department and the Mesa Fire and Medical Department, assisting them in responding to heat related emergencies and serving the community during extreme conditions.

Organizers said that a $5 donation can help provide one case of bottled water, and every contribution plays an important role in supporting those in need during Arizona’s extreme summer heat. Since its launch in 2007, the Mesa Hydration Donation Campaign has collected more than 7.6 million bottles of water, making it one of the region’s long running summer community assistance programs.

The Mesa Chamber of Commerce continues to encourage businesses, community groups, and residents to take part in the campaign through water drives and financial contributions. Sally Harrison, President and CEO of the Mesa Chamber of Commerce, said: “The Mesa Hydration Donation Campaign is not only a life saving community effort, but also a meaningful way for businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations to come together and serve the community. Over the years, the Chamber has organized friendly donation drives to collect water and raise funds for additional supplies. We are once again encouraging everyone to participate this summer in support of this important life saving initiative.”

Residents can donate bottled water at designated collection sites throughout the city. A full list of donation locations is available through the City of Mesa and Mesa Chamber of Commerce websites. Organizers also encourage the public to participate in any way they can whether by donating bottled water, making financial contributions, or organizing community water drives to help protect vulnerable populations and build a safer, healthier summer community.
