本周五（5月9日）上午，亚利桑那州国会议员Greg Stanton将前往Mesa市亚裔商圈，与当地亚裔小企业主面对面交流，了解联邦高额关税政策对社区商家的影响。

Rep. Stanton议员此行的第一站将来到位于湄公河广场（Mekong Plaza）的谭华参茸行（Tan Hua Inc.），该公司主营中药材和健康产品，由华商谭女士（Fanny Tan）经营。

谭女士表示，自4月19日起，公司因145%的对华高额关税已被迫暂停发货。她担心再过三至四个月便会出现严重缺货，进而影响生意与整体经济运转。

“我们是依赖进口的行业，关税一高，货根本进不来。小企业承担不起这样的压力，”谭女士说，“希望政府能够重视我们的处境，出台切实可行的支持政策。”

Rep. Stanton议员一直积极关注亚裔社区发展和中小企业困境。他表示，此次走访是为了更真实地倾听基层声音，他将把企业主们的意见带回国会，推动有关部门关注和回应中小企业面临的实际问题。

On the morning of Friday, May 9, U.S. Congressman Greg Stanton visited the Asian business district in Mesa to meet with local small business owners and hear firsthand how federal tariffs are affecting their operations.

His first stop was at Tan Hua Inc., a traditional Chinese herbal and health product store located inside Mekong Plaza. The business is owned by Fanny Tan, a longtime member of the local Chinese community.

Ms. Tan told the congressman that her company had to halt shipments starting April 19 due to a 145% tariff on imports from China. She warned that within the next three to four months, the store could face serious product shortages that would directly affect sales and the overall stability of the business.

“We rely on imported goods, and with tariffs this high, we simply can’t get our products in,” Tan said. “Small businesses like ours can’t absorb this kind of cost. We hope the government will understand our situation and provide practical support.”

Rep. Stanton, who has long advocated for small business owners and the Asian American community, said he would take their concerns back to Congress and push for more attention and assistance from the relevant agencies.
